No Such Thing as a Prefect Book
Adviser HelpNo one has ever created a perfect book. Think about it. The book is produced by students and you with limited time, expertise and experience. As a teacher or busy parent, you have many other responsibilities. As a yearbook company, we are producing millions of custom products created by students and publish within a very tight turn around time. I am sure every book has some errors. That is OK! Really, it is. I loved my books from school. When I look back at them, they are terrible. They are full of errors, poorly designed with bad pictures, but I cherish them! Be proud of what you have accomplished and don’t focus on the few misspelled words or other issues with the book.

Everything you ever wanted to know about distribution but were afraid to ask
Adviser HelpYou work hard to create the book. Make sure that distribution is a reflection of your hard work. A successful distribution party is as much about the event as it is about the handing out books. Planning and organization tips are below and attached. However, if this is your first distribution, let's schedule a time to meet and go over more details.

Adviser or Advisor? Which one is correct?
Adviser HelpI have recently been doing a lot of reading about editors and their roles, and I have discovered that almost everyone is spelling adviser with an o (advisor). So which is the correct way to spell this word?

Photography: Color Backgrounds... A good thing?
PhotographyAs more of you do more color pages (many of you doing all-color books) your students experiment with different color backgrounds. And sometime those backgrounds can really change the way the photos on the page look when the book is printed. Many times I have had advisers ask me why their senior pictures look kind of orange when they put full page bleed red backgrounds over them.

So you got this cool new camera...
PhotographyOK, many of you now have a fancy new SLR digital camera, and that's great! But perhaps you don't know much about the f-stops or aperature settings. Here is a spectacular sight for your photographers to visit and play with a virtual camera. They get to change the settings and see what happens to the image! It is truly amazing.

What's The Big Idea?
Adviser HelpIt’s all in how you look at it! Coverage from one year to the next needs to be fresh and inviting. The goal of the staff is to make each yearbook
distinctive and tailored to the unique activities and events of the year. While we must cover the same areas and some of the same ideas every year, we can
challenge ourselves to uncover unique aspects and angles that will make stories interesting.
